Today’s people are experiencing a serious dilemma in the face of rapid technological development, which they face with many benefits and harms. On the one hand, we are grateful for the conveniences, flexibility, protection or rights that technology provides us, and on the other hand, we are disturbed or frustrated by the threat it poses to our autonomy when bureaucracy or private companies, which we think are interested in interfering in everything, enter what we consider our own private space.
Many studies on all these show concretely that in today’s society, many people think that their positive contribution to the quality of life outweighs them. Sometimes we prefer to use it instead of giving up in situations that actually confront it. In other words, all this technological development and the perception of controlled society that comes with it are not unilaterally good or bad. In essence, technology is the science of producing, using, repairing, and developing tools-devices or any special knowledge. Technology and evolution are different from sociological, moral, etc. evolution, and often it takes place as a result of studies conducted with the logic of “How can I be more comfortable?”. Because in many civilizations, laziness has been described as the mother of invention.
Increased digitalization is turning us into a fully networked society. The Internet (especially with IoT) is in the process of infiltrating all aspects of human life. One of the many documentaries made on this subject, “Reformed techno-utopian” and filmmaker Brett Gaylor ventures into the world of digital invention. Here, he meets people who have made significant contributions to the “Internet of Things.” One of them is Kristina Cahojova. She has developed a device that relays information about fertility from the vagina directly to the cloud. Journalist Nellie Bowles met a victim of domestic violence who was terrorized by her ex-boyfriend in their shared ‘smart’ apartment. Meanwhile, in China, citizens are rewarded for behaving in socially desirable ways. In Toronto, activist Bianca Wylie warns against the Sidewalk Labs project, which turns people into guinea pigs. The documentary poses fundamental questions about people — and their personal data. Such productions are very useful in understanding the paradox which I am talking about.
All these technological developments in general, of course, also apply to the Electric Vehicle (EV) Ecosystem. On the one hand, we are talking about issues related to environmental sensitivity, on the other hand, we see that battery technologies are actually not very innocent, and there are possible threats that will arise from the study and practice of charging systems without cables, which are growing more and more.
I would like to open up a little the reasons why I handled the incident with such a broad conceptual approach to talk about the Drifter approach and its difference:
- We dream of a world where technology does not rule people, but where technology is at the disposal of people and serves humanity.
- We believe in efficiency, sustainability and ease of use in line with necessity, not technological diversity.
- We see how the crazy consumption habits imposed on us by the modern world consume natural life, the entire environment, the common resources of the whole world, and we believe that we should contribute in order to gather in a commonplace.
- We believe that all humanity should gather around common values, regardless of their thought, ideology, and belief. When we say this, we are not just saying it to be have said it, but we are saying it with the hope and belief of contributing and we are taking action for it.
- We think that we should do our duty towards this planet we live on together correctly.
- We want to present the accumulation of our past experiences to humanity as both professional satisfaction and alms of knowledge with our magnificent staff consisting of the best in the field who are at the peak of their professional careers in an individual sense.
- We want to do the right things both technically and commercially in this new structure that has been established.
With all this motivation, our team first analyzes what the problem is, its factors, effects, and components in detail, and proposes a sustainable and reliable solution. We invite you to walk among us on this journey.
Our approach is not to try to solve problems one by one and ignore their impact on other interactive areas. On the contrary, our approach is based on producing a radical solution to the problem with an integrated perspective. That’s why we don’t just look at it as an EV problem. We consider it an integral part of e-mobility and city management concepts, which sit on the main axis of the entire smart city concept. We position ourselves as a company that produces EV solutions and as a company that provides services to all stakeholders, especially with data-driven solutions within the smart city ecosystem.
In this table, we tried to compile the current problems of the parties in the ev-charge ecosystem:
Electric Drivers | Parking Services | Government |
|
|
|
This is where Drifter comes into play: “Full automatic parking & EV charging system.”
We invite also you to be a part of this solution.
